Primary Care Research Network (PCRN)

PCRN was set up in 2007 to expand clinical research in primary care, as this is where the majority of patient contacts take place. The Research network includes GPs, dentists, pharmacists and Health Visitors with the aim of promoting high quality research in areas for which primary care has particular responsibility. These areas include disease prevention, health promotion, screening and early diagnosis, as well as the management of long term conditions, such as COPD, Diabetes, Arthritis and Heart Disease.

As a Practice we have recently become involved with the PCRN and from time to time you may be asked if you would like to take part in a particular project relating to your own medical condition.  Your health care/medical treatment will not be affected in any way, with us or any other health care provider. You will not be entered into any trial without being given comprehensive information and we will also require your signed consent.

We will make available either on our Notice Board, website or newsletters any projects that we are currently engaged in and if you are interested please ask for more information.
