Serious conditions

Acute conjunctivitis

Acute conjunctivitis is redness and soreness of the clear covering which coats the white of the eye.

Appendicitis

The appendix is small part of the bowel or intestine about the size of a child's little finger or a small worm. It lies low down in the right side of your tummy.

Depression

We can all feel a bit low at times - most people get better quickly and bounce back. In clinical depression the low mood continues day after day.

Diabetes

This is the shortened name for Diabetes Mellitus. This is a condition when the level of sugar (glucose) becomes higher than normal, and the level of a hormone (body chemical) called Insulin is reduced or absent.

When someone dies

Sooner or later, most of us will be confronted with the task of arranging the funeral of a loved one, which in the midst of grief can be a daunting ordeal.
