I have been a Principal in General Practice for over 20 years and am proud of being a generalist with a wide range of knowledge in family medicine. I particularly enjoy working with children in the context of their families. I also enjoy mental health care and feel that the majority of psychiatric care should be provided in a primary care setting. I am responsible for the Practice Complaints Procedure and also the Critical Incidents/Significant Events meetings where we meet as a Practice to discuss difficult cases to try and learn from them and to improve the care we provide. Being a long established Partner, I am fully involved in the management of what is a large and well organised Practice and am proud of the high standards we maintain and aim to continue this tradition. I love being a GP and despite all the pressures and problems still regard it as "the best job in the world". |

She enjoys being a part time mum and part time GP, the 'Mum' bit often being the tougher of the 2 jobs! She enjoys the continuity of care she can offer in general practice, looking after all the generations of local families. Lynn has an interest in complementary medicine, and liaises with all the Stowhealth Complementary Therapists on a regular basis. |
Dr Veronica Kubis |

She undertook her three year GP vocational training locally at the West Suffolk Hospital and at a general practice in Bury St Edmunds and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Veronica joined the practice as a partner in 1992. She combines working part-time with caring for her five children. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine but in particular the continuity of care of patients over time. For personal reasons Veronica will not refer women for termination of pregnancy. |

Almost a local; having moved to Bury St Edmunds at the age of 12 from London . Graduated from Nottingham Medical School and completed vocational training at the West Suffolk Hospital . I am responsible for managing the clinical aspects of the Quality & Outcomes Framework. I deal with some less glamorous roles, such as writing the GP rota also. I am leading our increasing involvement with clinical research. I work as the director for Stowhealth on the board of our practice-based commissioning consortium Suffolk Brett Stour Ltd. I work one session per month as a GP Clinical Assistant in the Cardiology Intermediate Community Clinic at Stowhealth. |

Qualifications: BMedSci, BMBS, DA DRCOG, MRCGP Publications: BMJ, British Journal of General Practice, Journal Royal Society of Medicine. Simon grew up in East Anglia and went to school in Ipswich before heading off to Nottingham University where he joined the Royal Navy. After Medical school he worked in the underwater world of diving and submarine medicine. After training in anaesthetics Simon spent time in Northern Iraq during the first Gulf War in a MASH-style field hospital. A young family made civilian life and autonomy a little more attractive than the Navy but before returning to his roots in East Anglia, Simon and his family spent a very enjoyable two years in Western Australia, broadening his medical education. He relishes change and innovation and is very proud of everything that Stowhealth has achieved over the years. Simon is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with UEA involved in Medical Student Training. He has three teenage children, and he is a keen Triathelete and open water swimmer. Simon has a Private Practice at the Gilmour Piper Practice in Ipswich where he is interested in improving health through nutritional and lifestyle strategies. Drawing on his naval experience he still supports local amateur divers. |
