Ordering repeat prescriptions
Patients on regular or long term medications may be issued with repeat prescriptions without seeing the doctor each time. A form listing these prescriptions accompanies each repeat prescription. You may re-order repeat items by either: Ticking the appropriate items on the re-order list and returning it to the surgery in person or posting it to us. Using the website order link at the top of this page. Telephoning 0191 2132636 and leaving a prescription order message. FROM MONDAY, 5TH OCTOBER 2009 ORDERS PLACED VIA THE PRESCRIPTION LINE - 0191 2132636 - WILL BECOME AN AUTOMATED SERVICE ONLY ALLOWING ORDERS TO BE PLACED 24 HRS PER DAY, 52 WEEKS OF THE YEAR. Should you place your order via the telephone line, you will be prompted to leave your name, address, telephone number and the name of the items you require. A member of our prescription staff will contact you by phone if necessary to clarify any issues. Staff on the normal practice line will not be able to take orders via that number. You may also wish to consider contacting your local chemist and using their ordering and delivery service. WARFARIN We are sorry that we are unable to issue warfarin prescriptions on repeat prescriptions due to recent safety guidelines. Urgent requests At least 36 hours' notice is required for repeat prescriptions. However, if the request is urgent we will deal with it immediately if appropriate.
