Antenatal ClinicsThe Community Midwife is attached to the practice and provides care to expectant mother through out pregnancy and the post natal period. Clinics are held at the practice on Friday Morning from 9am until 12pm. Asthma ClinicFor a review of your asthma book an appointment with the Sister Anne Johnson. Baby ClinicsTuesday 2pm - 3pm for full immunization, child health surveillance and general advice for children under 5. PLEASE NOTE THE BABY CLINIC WILL CHANGE TO A WEDNESDAY FROM THE 9TH OF NOVEMBER 2009. Cervical SmearsRegular smears for all women between the ages of 25 and 65 are strongly advised. Appointments are available with the Practice Nurse. CounsellingA Counsellor is attached to the practice and offers patients the opportunity to explore their problems in a confidential setting. Having initially discussed your problem with your Doctor a referral of appropriate could be made. Family PlanningFull contraceptive services are offered by all Doctors. IUD fittings can be made after an initial consultation with Dr Pinnington. Foreign TravelThe Practice Nurse provides full advice on health aspects of travel relevant immunizations required. This is by appointment only, advice will not be given over the phone. Heart Disease ClinicFor review of patients with Heart Disease. Appointment with Practice Nurse Hypertension/Diabetes ClinicFor review of blood pressure and diabetes management. By appointment on Monday and Thursday mornings. Interpreter ServicesThis service is available on request provided this request is made several days in advance. Mental Health WorkerThe Mental Health Worker is attached to the practice and offers short term focused work on Mental Health problems or signposting to other services. Referral to the Mental Health Worker can be made after initial consultation with your GP. Minor SurgeryA range of minor surgical procedures are performed in the surgery after assessment by a doctor. PhysiotherapyWe are able to offer physiotherapy if the doctor feels a referral is appropriate. Private Medical ServicesSome services fall outside the NHS and therefore charges submitted for theses are payable by the patient. This includes BUPA forms, private medical certificate, signing of passport applications and various examinations for sport, school or employment. A list of these services is displayed in reception, together with current prices, as recommended by the British Medical Association. Smoking CessationWe are particularly keen to encourage all our patients who smoke to cease, advice and support is available from our Health Visitor Karen William by appointment. Wart ClinicOnce every 3 weeks on a Tuesday and a Thursday afternoon. Initially referred by seeing your GP then you will be placed on the waiting list for this clinic. |
