Routine appointments

We operate a fully computerised appointments system. Please contact the surgery by phone after 8.30am or in person. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please inform the surgery as soon as possible so that it can be offered to someone else.

Consultations are routinely booked by 10 minute appointment times but if you require 20 minutes just let the receptionist know.

You can request to see a GP of your choice although you may need to wait longer for these appointments.

For all appointments call 01668 281575

Online appointment booking service is now available. Please speak to reception staff for further information.

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE A DENTAL MATTER YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR DENTIST OR CALL NHS 111 TO FIND NEAREST AVAILABLE DENTIST AS DOCTORS ARE UNABLE TO DEAL WITH DENTAL PROBLEMS.

Extended Surgery Hours

We are offering evening (6.30pm to 8pm) surgery appointments with either a doctor or the practice nurse. These are pre-bookable appointments and not for urgent cases and are available fortnightly. No other services will be available during this time. These appointments are only if you are unable to get here during the normal working week.

Patients who book appointments and do not attend their appointments will not be able to make new appointments without discussing with the practice first.

Telephone Consultations

It is possible to obtain advice from the doctor by telephone (preferably after morning surgery). The receptionist will ask you for some information and arrange for the doctor to call you back later.

Cancelling Appointments

Please let us know if you no longer require your appointment. This appointment can then be given to another patient.

Choice of Appointment Length

Dr Lambourn  has written a paper (with assistance from Joanne Richardson, Elizabeth Batley and Caroline Douglas)  on patients being offered the choice of 10 or 20 minute appointments.

The paper concluded that the evidence shows that patients are capable of choosing a consultation length of either 10 or 20 minutes with a reasonable degree of accuracy.

We now offer a choice of appointment lengths to our patients. To view the article please click below.
